Online portal makes ordering simple for UES Hardware customer Ocean Roads

Ocean Roads is renowned for innovative Aussie-made ute trays and canopies – and for business owner, Damien Bell, UES Hardware’s new customer portal has made it quicker and simpler to order the quality components he needs.

Ocean Roads, in Mildura, Victoria, has been using UES Hardware drawer slides, gas struts, latches, locks, hinges and rubber seals for years because the product quality is top notch. Now, the supplier partnership is even better, with the online UES Hardware customer portal making it simple to see pricing, confirm stock levels and check the status of orders.

“The reason we choose UES Hardware is because the quality is always there, prices are competitive and the bulk of what we purchase is carried in stock. Until recently, we were placing orders by email and it’s always been pretty quick, but using the portal has just taken it up a step,” Damien says.

“In particular, it’s great to be able to see straight away if the item you need is in stock. Ordering by email you have to ask and then wait for a response. The portal has been pretty easy to use, and products are easy to find. Compared to email ordering, this is far easier.”

About the business

Ocean Roads was established about two and a half years ago when Damien and his mate had an idea for a new type of ute tray. “We call it the Storage Solution Platform and there was nothing like it on the market when we came up with the idea. It’s highly customisable, really versatile, and offers a long list of features from side access drawers to under-tray sealed toolboxes and steel hook tie down points,” Damien says.  His business partner had worked with UES Hardware products for years so it was a natural decision to look to UES Hardware to support the new Ocean Roads venture.
